TONEFLX 1.2 introduces an entirely new way to explore and organize presets, full AAX support for Pro Tools, major EQ improvements, and important fixes across the plugin.

What’s New in TONEFLX 1.2

AAX Support for Pro Tools

TONEFLX is now fully compatible with Pro Tools. Following the completion of Avid’s certification process, Pro Tools users can install and use TONEFLX directly inside their sessions.

Completely Redesigned Preset Browser

The old dropdown menu has been replaced with an entirely new preset browsing experience.

The redesigned browser makes it faster and easier to navigate the library, discover new sounds, and find the right creative starting point without digging through multiple folders and menus.

Advanced Preset Search

Search the entire preset library using text, creators, instruments, genres, and other descriptive tags.

Whether you’re looking for a specific sound or simply exploring a direction, the new search system helps you narrow down the library in seconds.

Preset Favorites

Found something you love? Add it to your Favorites for instant access.

Your favorite presets are collected in one place, making it easy to build a personal selection of go-to sounds without remembering where each preset was originally located.

Preset Shuffle

Use the new Shuffle feature to instantly load something different from the library.

It’s designed to encourage experimentation, help you break out of familiar habits, and uncover presets you may not have discovered otherwise.

Custom Tags for User Presets

Your own presets can now be resaved with custom tags, allowing them to work seamlessly with the new browsing and search system.

For example, you can tag a preset with “Trap,” “Analog,” and “Guitar.” It will then appear whenever you browse or search any of those categories, giving you complete freedom to organize your personal preset library in a way that fits your workflow.

Interactive EQ Visualizer

The EQ visualizer is now fully functional.

Instead of only displaying the EQ curve, you can now click and drag directly inside the visualizer to shape your sound quickly and intuitively.

New EQ Q/Resonance Controls

The EQ now includes Q/Resonance controls for more precise control over the width and character of every adjustment.

Create narrow cuts, make broader tonal changes, or emphasize specific frequencies with greater accuracy.

Drift and Instability Recall (Bug Fix)

Some users experienced an issue where Drift and Instability settings were not recalled correctly after closing and reopening a session.

Saved projects will now reopen with the correct values instead of resetting these controls to their defaults.

Reverse Pitch-Shifter (Bug Fix)

TONEFLX 1.1 Update (June 19th, 2026) introduced an issue that caused the Reverse pitch-shift amount to behave inaccurately.

This has now been corrected, restoring accurate and predictable control over the effect.
